One in four healthy young Marines report long-term physical, cognitive, or psychiatric effects after mild COVID-19

The study suggests that SARS-CoV-2 infection may negatively affect the health of a significant proportion of young adults. Young adults who experience only mild or no symptoms of SARS-CoV-2 infection may still experience long-term effects of COVID-19, which may include but are not limited to, physical impairments, as well as mental health issues such as cognitive difficulties and depression.
